Retired faculty

FRI welcomes interest from professors emeriti and other retired faculty who wish to remain active in research, but who may not have access to sponsored research administrative resources through their former employer institutions. We provide sponsored research management and oversight, access to IRB approval processes, office space and data collection if needed and desirable.
An additional benefit of submitting your research proposals through FRI are comparatively lower indirect cost/overhead rates than those typically charged by colleges and universities. Since FRI is a non-profit institution with a relatively small staff and efficient management protocols, higher proportions of the funding can be applied directly to the research activities.
If you are a retired professor who is interested in continuing your research activities, please consider becoming a Fellow of the Florida Research Institute. Download an application form or contact us by email or telephone today.
